Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tsp Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, thyme)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp olive oil
For the Cheese Sauce:
1 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream or milk
1 cup shredded parmesan or mozzarella cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.
2. Make the Cheese Sauce:
In the same pan, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds.
Add the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer.
Stir in the shredded cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg (if using). Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
3. Combine and Serve:
Return the cooked chicken to the pan, coating it with the cheese sauce.
Serve hot with pasta, rice, or roasted vegetables.
