Instructions:
1. Heat a pan over medium heat and melt the butter.
2. Cook the beef steak with salt and black pepper until it reaches your preferred doneness.
3. Toast the sandwich bun slightly in the same pan.
4. Spread mayonnaise (and mustard if using) on the bun.
5. Place the cooked beef on the bottom half of the bun.
6. Add cheese slices on top of the beef while it's hot to let it melt slightly.
7. Place the lettuce leaves on top.
8. Cover with the top half of the bun and serve hot.
