Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients:
12 lasagna noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese
1 egg
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. Cook the noodles: Boil the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the meat sauce: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until soft. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 15 minutes.
3. Prepare the cheese mixture: In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with the egg until well combined.
4. Assemble the lasagna:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce.
Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce.
Spread a layer of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
6. Serve: Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
