Ingredients:
12 oz (340g) pasta (spaghetti, penne, or any type)
4 cups water
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
1 cup pasta sauce (tomato sauce, Alfredo sauce, or pesto)
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil the water:
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt to enhance the pasta's flavor.
2. Cook the pasta:
Add the pasta to the boiling water and stir to prevent sticking.
Cook according to the package instructions (usually 8-12 minutes), stirring occasionally.
3. Drain the pasta:
Once the pasta is tender (al dente), drain it using a colander.
You can drizzle a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
4. Prepare the sauce:
In a saucepan, heat your preferred pasta sauce over medium heat.
Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss well to coat evenly.
5. Serve:
Transfer the pasta to a plate, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
Serve hot and enjoy!
