Ingredients:
4 slices of Italian bread (thick-cut)
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried oregano (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp butter or olive oil for frying
Instructions:
1. In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt, and pepper.
2. Dip each slice of Italian bread into the mixture, making sure both sides are coated well.
3. Heat butter or olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
4. Cook the bread slices for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
5. Serve warm. You can top with more cheese, tomato slices, or fresh herbs if desired.
