Ingredients:
2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
8 oz (225g) fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
¼ cup fresh basil leaves
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional)
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
1. Assemble the Salad:
Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices on a serving plate, alternating them in a row or circular pattern.
Tuck fresh basil leaves between the slices.
2. Season the Salad:
Drizzle olive oil over the salad.
Add a drizzle of balsamic glaze if desired.
Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
3. Serve:
Serve immediately as a refreshing appetizer or side dish.
